Parkinson’s is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system characterized by tremor and impaired muscular coordination.
This is caused by the slow destruction of the nerve cells in the brain that make dopamine responsible for communicating within the brain for muscular movement. This disorder of the brain leads to shaking tremors and difficulty with walking, movement, and coordination.
Symptoms of Parkinson’s May Include the Following:
- Tremors
- Stiff and aching muscles
- Slow and limited movement
- Postural instability
- Weakness of throat and facial muscles
- Difficulty walking and/or blinking
- Depression
- Difficulty swallowing
- Drooling
- No expression in the face (like you are wearing a mask)
